8. The Federal Hotel –
25 Semaphore Road
Licensed in 1866 as the Jetty Hotel, the name was changed to ‘The Federal’ at Federation in 1901.
The building was remodelled in 1925, as its facade attests, nicely combining features of the 1880’s and the 1920’s. This is particularly evident in the stunning leadlight windows throughout the pub.
