Semaphore’s Hidden Histories is a City of Port Adelaide Enfield Placemaking Project as part of this year’s SALA (South Australian Living Artists) during August 2018.
Artist Rachel Harris has sourced images and stories through community workshops to develop this trail along Semaphore Road then she has added a unique twist to each photo. Look closely at each photo to see if you can spot something that maybe shouldn`t be there – like Elvis at the Carnival or a selfie-stick!
The project combines the wealth of historical images from the Port Adelaide Historical Society, images from City of PAE Libraries’ own Local History Collection and your stories.
See below a copy of the brochure showing you where you can find the 14 great pictures that make up the exhibition along Semaphore Road. You can also pick up a copy of the brochure from the Semaphore Visitor Information Outlet located inside the Semaphore Library.
If you have any Semaphore photographs or stories to share, please send to firstname.lastname@example.org/library or #Semaphore on social media.
