14 Semaphore Road

Opened in 1884 as the Mechanics Institute, this building later became the Semaphore Town Hall – a venue for live theatre, silent films and concerts. In 1929 Ozone Amusements spent $10,000 on an elaborate conversion to a cinema.

It was restored in 1993 as a splendid community library.
